Due my first lap and diagnosis next week. With suspected endo i was wondering if anyone has had a preganacy success after removal of endo and how long it took you to fall after the lap and endo removal? I appreciate everyone is different.

My lap next week is mainly to get to the bottom of this abdo and pelvic pain and fertility issues after 2 years trying.

Thanks all

Hello! I had a lap in Janaury and am trying to get pregnant as well now my lap is done.

I haven't asked anyone on here but statistics are 67% of women fall pregnant within three months of lap to treat endo, and 97% within the first 6 months. Thats what I found on the endometriosis website anyway and is helping reassure me, not sure if that helps or not?

I think periods can get a bit strange after lap anyway as I am 8 days late at the moment but all tests negative. But there are people on here who got pregnant straight away.

Best of luck! And I hope your op goes ok :)

No that helps. I might ask at my pre op to. I was also wondering as I've actually out been offered a new job and now I don't know what to do for the best! 🤔x

I did - I fell first month! But I miscarried. Still progress as we hadn’t fallen in 6 years of ttc.

Good luck - hope it goes well xoxo

I'm sorry to hear that it's difficult. I have gone through one miscarry when I very first came off the pill so i feel for you. This is when all my troubles have began. I hope things work out for you. X

Thank you . I’m so sorry for your loss too- it’s heartbreaking 💔.

My endo symptoms returned after my loss - I know how you feel. Frustrating. I’m having surgery 16th March.

When is your laparoscopy?

If you have any questions on the laparoscopy feel free to ask me xoxo

6th March. As it's a diagnosis lap and die I'm just so nervous about coming round from the op and getting bad news. Will they go through exactly what they 're going to do at my pre op. I know I have cysts on my ovaries. What do they tend to to treat That? Thanks x

in reply to Hannah5198

I didn’t have a pre- op- so I can’t advise on that front. Sorry.

The treatment has to be signed for on the consent form- otherwise legally it cannot be done. 🙄 You should have a copy of the consent form- it should state what’s being done/ could be done.

If they found other things they weren’t expecting they can book you in again and sort them out at another surgery. Try not to worry. xoxo

Results are better with an oil based hsg. I had lap n dye in August- no success so far. I’m paying for another hsg with oil this time - I think success rates vary on the individual and the reasons hindering conception. Fingers crossed your one of the 67% - but is that percentage based on women with endo or women with no obvious fertility issues? Xx

Its based on endo, so post removal of disease via surgery. Its so frustrating there isn't much information on statistics or what degree of the disease that 67% had. Im just using it to try to keep positive mentally, every little helps?.

I hope you are successful soon! Best of luck xxx

Hi. I had a lap 25th September last year and had a positive pregnancy test December 22nd. We had been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years, I really believe the lap helped. Wishing you all the best.xx

I got pregnant 5 months after my lap. But it would have been sooner accept we could not try due to a very painful recovery following significant endo removal. I wish you the best of luck and hope all goes well for you. Take care.
