I had my lap on Monday with extensive removal of endo from pouch of douglas both ureters and surrounding areas. I know its early days but is it still normal to feel endo pains, as I thought this would have gone immediately but am still feeling the ongoing achy pains in my legs and pelvis

Hi! I am due to have my lap soon, and the nurse said that you can suffer from pain for weeks after but defintley mention it to your doctor. How did you find the lap? Xx

The lap in itself was fine although it was my 4th so I knew what to expect. The hardest part was the sickness from the morphine but if you are only having a diagnostic lap they don't always give you morphine and you can ask for all the anti sickness drugs they have but I knew this one was going to be extensive surgery so I couldn't have them. You will be fine. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to rest afterwards x

poor you! I hope your feeling better in yourself now, bar the pain. Yes unfortunately that's one thing I'm scared of is being sick. So I have to makesure the nurses etc know. I'm sure it will be fine. I do hope the pain goes for you eventually xx

Hope you are feeling better now Nicola. I still have no news from my diagnosis lap :( the pains however haven't been too bad, they're bearable. I think the thing that affecting me most now is my diet since I've become Dairy intolerant. I don't think I'm getting enough vitamins as I keep feeling faint/dizzy and tired in the afternoons.

Hi Wendy, its good news that you aren't getting too much pain but bad that you are now dairy intolerant. I know how you feel as since becoming dairy and wheat intolerant my diet is very bland and boring and im sure im not getting the right nutrients either. You could try some pro-biotic pills that are supposed to be good. I started these but at the moment trying a no pill diet as wondering if some of my pains are due to allergy to casing of pills.

Its now 3 weeks since my lap and im healing well but still getting a lot of pain, again not sure whether some is gastro unrelated problems or still endo pains, I suppose only time will tell.

I haven't had a letter with follow up apt yet either. I cant remember if you said you had same dr as me or not (Mr Morris) if it is the same I have his secretaries number and will message it to you if you want if not just phone central switchboard at hospital and ask for secretary of whoever your consultant is.

I hope you soon get some answers as the waiting is the worst part
