Pain removing tampon.

Hi, (sorry if this is TMI)

I just used the tampon for the first time in ages so that I could shower- I stopped using them a while ago as they were becoming a bit sore but nothing extreme- and when I went to take it out I experienced some of the worst pain I had in ages, felt it all over the area but especially the hips. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? the pain was intense and I'm still sore.

This sounds awful I’m sorry to hear you’re in so much pain. With endo I found tampons really uncomfortable. I would get pain radiating up my pubic bone and they were uncomfortable to remove, I would sometimes get bad cramping after remove one so I stopped using them x

I have also experienced this! I actually started to use a moon cup last cycle... which I know some people think are gross! But it wasn’t at all, I’m not easily grossed out though. Pads and sanitary pads are made up from so many harmful chemicals etc I just thought I’d try stay clear!

I’m the same I found between the pain & discomfort of inserting & having them in. I also found that because I was sooo heavy they didn’t cope.

Sadly I’m pads only, only downfall is the pads irritate as I wear them 7 + days I get irritation. Another pleasure of the endo!!

Good Luck with it all xx

I can’t use tampons at all, went from using them all the time when my periods first started as a young teen, and when they started getting really bad and painful I just couldn’t use them at all, thought I was allergic to them but after reading this I don’t think that’s the case , nice to know it’s not just me, x
