Agonising cramps in feet and legs

My doctor said that tests last year show my mineral levels to be normal but I'm experiencing terrible cramps in the evenings mostly. Just spent the last half hour writhing around in pain. Started taking B12 around 2 and a half weeks ago. Does anyone have advice on how to stop this or relieve the discomfort?

I am in the same boat. My legs can feel like they are on fire, the pain can be anywhere in my legs. This happens randomly. Love to know what's causing this. I jump into a really hot bath and it melts my pain away...sometimes😁 else a spa pool helps.

There are lots of different pain causes so might be worth asking to be referred to a pain clinic or pain specialist. It might be referred pain or nerve pain from inflammation in the buttock or pelvic area or possibly neuropathic pain, which is when the pain messaging system in your body develops a fault which can happen in chronic pain cases. Prolonged use of opiate pain relief can start to cause pain too.

I've been offered trigger point injections for nerve pain from my coccyx post op and am on pregabalin for neuropathic pain.

Thank you. It's weird, the veins in my feet all bulge terribly and it goes up my shins and calves. Drank loads of water today as dehydration is a cause apparently...hoping it's not as bad tonight. Woke up with it for another ten minutes in the night 😔
