Laparoscopy

So today I was able to watch a laparoscopy for real. The patient didn’t have any gynae problems they were getting something else done but watching how a laparoscopy actually happens was mind blowing knowing that I’ve had it done to me before.

So I seen them open the belly button and stick the camera in. The gas was then put in ( no wonder we are in so much pain afterwards they pump it up so high). Then a sharp ended tube was literally pushed through the stomach to make the other holes so the scissors etc could go through.

Thought I’d share with you all because we all wonder what happens to us when we are having a lap x
