Heavy Periods

Anyone else found their periods are still heavy regardless of what birth control they're on? I went on the pill at 17 originally to stop heavy periods which had no impact at all, so was going to come off when the gynaeo told me to stay on it to reduce side effects of suspected endometriosis (nothing was found at lap but I'm still questioning it, tho surely if it was endo the pill would have helped reduce symptoms right?). That was 2 years ago and my periods are still untouched and causing me to have to take a lot of time off work and cancel on people, I've been on all sorts of different pill and currently on Cerazette. I'm at my wits end because I don't know what else I can do to stop being in so much pain and getting through more pads than I can afford! x

I am really sorry to hear you are suffering. Like you, no pill has ever worked for me. Sometimes they would work but then I would get break through bleeding after a while and I would be put onto a different pill.

I am currently on no contraception pills and my periods thankfully are now regular but debilitating and I am currently awaiting my 4th lap plus bowel surgery.

Everyone's different though, I have fellow endo sisters who swear by the pill they are on. It's all about finding what works well for you.
