Had some horrid abdominal cramp since Friday seems to be easing a little now but my boobs hurt bad too! Still no period! Is this the calm before the storm? Or is this where my pain starts to improve? Incase anyone hasn't read my story I'm suspected to have endometriosis I'm having zoladex for 3 months ...

Hi I'm the same as you in that I had zoladex two weeks ago for three months but my period started that day and I have been bleeding ever since. I also have bad breast pain and cramps. I wasn't really told much about side effects just that you get hot flushes and headaches. I get both and night sweats. Hope it works for you xx

She basically said I'll have a period then they'll stop and I'll have a temporary menopause while I'm having the injections then they'll come back once the course is finished but didn't say anything about the cramps sore boobs etc? im starting to wish I'd opted for surgery first! 😢 Xx

I was similar but bleed as well. It took 6 weeks to settle sorry! I’m on my 3rd injection and don’t want anymore the nausea, vomiting, headaches and fatigue are full on and my family life is suffering. I’m not sure which I prefer the endo pain and bleeding 2-3 weeks a month or daily side effects!

Some people find it really helps and the side effects are nothing in comparison to the endo so it is a personal thing.

I hope it settles for you xx

Thanks ccsmith did you have it before or after a lap? I didn't think I'd see any side effects so soon but it seems there's a few ladies in the same situation as me! I just want the lap now to find out if these injections are even worth having! I hate the not knowing but at the time my gynaecologist asked me whether I'd want surgery or injections I was pushed for time to collect my kids and to be honest I was in shock from being told I may have endo.. I did look online for answers to my pain bleeding etc a few years back and endo kept popping up but I thought nothing more of it and thought it can't be, surely someone would have picked up on the symptoms considering the amount of doctors I've been to etc! Maybe this gynaecologist has seen more ladies with endo ? I don't know I just want answers now x

I had a Lap 3 years ago and then had a mirena which sadly did not agree with me. The Zoladex was last resort to delay a hysterectomy but I’m ready for it now.

So are you not confirmed endo! They shouldn’t really be giving you a full on drug without it. The pill would of been a better course. The Zoladex dampens down the endo so I suppose you will have an idea. My first 6 weeks were horrid and symptoms started very early. I started them under pressure so feeling frustrated by it all.

I've had mirena, depo injection different types of pill, not allowed combined pill anymore as it gave me migraines and also had implanon and tried no contraception for 3 months.. no contraceptive agrees with me, have constant bleeding and horrific cramps with them all! currently on mini pill still no better that's why he suggested endo.. I was also confused as to why he's treating me for something I may or may not have! I suppose only time will tell x

I'm hoping there's not a long wait for surgery after I've finished the course of zoladex! I'm due my last one 2nd January then my gynaecologist wants to see me soon after. fingers crossed I get answers and can start moving forward! X

Period is here! I shouldn't be happy with the pain I'm about to be in and the amount of bleeding I'm expecting as usual.. and the cramps I've had for like 4 days and the sore boobs which I'm hoping will calm now it's here! but after reading the horror stories from zoladex I'm glad to say I'm bleeding! I was starting to panic since it normally happens right after sex.. (he's limited to once a week while I'm on zoladex to see if pain and bleeding still happens) I still lie in a heap crying afterwards but no bleeding! I think we may be getting somewhere I'm now starting week 3 after my injection so anything else happens I'll keep those of you who want to know about first time injections informed! I'm crossing everything that I have an answer to my 7 years of hell! In no way do I wish I have endometriosis because I wouldn't wish it on anyone and I feel for you ladies diagnosed but in the same breath I'm hoping they have finally discovered why I'm having all these symptoms! Xx
