I am on my 6th zoladex injection, and I am still bleeding!! How is this possible?! This is my last option I've tried everything else and I'm far too young to consider hysterectomy don't know what to do ...
Zoladex .. : I am on my 6th zoladex... - Endometriosis UK
Zoladex ..
Hi,
I'm new to this and have been to a consultatnt (I don't have an assigned one - I'm in a pool, which means I have to explain everything each time which is a joy!) today who has recommended zoladex following my laproscopy......my understanding was it brings on menopausal state and stops any activity relating to periods and that you have an injection once a month for a maximum of 6 months? is this not the case? Have you told them (gyno/GP) you're still bleeding? Has it reduced any of your other symptoms?
s
Yes everything you have said is that should happen.
Told my gynae and gp and they don't know why I'm still bleeding. No I still have all my usual symptoms.
They have said they have rarely seen this .. So I would recommend trying it xx
OK.....thank you for the reassurance!
But what about you?! What have they said will happen? Where do you go now? is it just that you will have to put up with it and manage the pain/symptoms?
S
They keep fobbing me off. Got told I had endo a year and a half ago and apparently now I don't have endo and they don't know what's wrong. Even tho all my symptoms are like endo x
That's crazy - why would they give you that injection if you didn't have endo?!! second opinion? x
theyve given me the injection because I've been bleeding constantly for 10 months.
Oh my second opinion was even worse! They had nothing to say. Now getting refered to London hopefully x
Oh blimey......it's so confusing! I've had a moan to my friend today because I'm just fed up with differing info! one 'specialist' says one thing and then you're palmed off to another! I just want someone to say - actually we've got no idea what's best for you, but we have to try things to see what works!
Good luck - and if they don't refer you - keep pushing! x
Hi there!
I am about to start treatment for Zoladex because my specialist says that if my pain goes away its endo and if it doesn't then its not endo as we have tried so many things to stop the pain
I was just wondering what it was like? Have you had many menopausal symptoms? I am 26 and I have just started a new job and am super nervous about this part. Do you take anything to stop you being a menopausal mess if so?
Thanks
