Does anyone have any tips on how to relieve nausea please

Hi all, hope your all having a pain free day.

I'm suffering with extreme nausea and just wondered if anyone has any tips on trying to keep it at bay. Any movement makes me feel like I'm going to be sick which is really awkward as I need to be getting things done. My hubby has a chest infection on top of his illness and I need to be looking after him but this nausea is really awful its starting to get me down now. Sorry for complaining but any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I have found ginger to be really helpful. You can buy ginger tablets in a pharmacy, health food store or some supermarkets. Otherwise use the fresh root to make tea..Grate about 5cm - 10cm and low simmer covered for 10 min. Hope this helps x

Thanks Cooka I will give it a try. Hope your having a good day x

I find that nibbling on a couple of biscuits help settle my stomach, doctor also gave me some cyclizine hydrochloride tablets which help, feels like morning sickness without being pregnant.

Thanks Ria29. I have a docs appointment on Monday will see what he says.

Hi Ria 29 you need to grate a teaspoon of fresh ginger and add it to freshly boiled water. Let it steep for 10 minutes, strain it and drink it. You can add honey to sweeten it and camomile tea is good too. Ginger is recommended for morning sickness too. I suffer from acid reflux and these remedies work for me. Avoid dairy and fatty foods as they can cause nausea. Drink plenty of water, cool boiled water is very good too. If it continues see your GP. Keep a food diary too, there may be a pattern between food and nausea. Good luck.

Hi i got anti sickness tablets from my gp.

Cyclizine didn't work for me, but metoclopramide was a life saver.
