Pre-op Laparoscopy

Hi, I have a date for my pre-op and just wondering how long after pre-op did people get their laparoscopy?

I had my pre op and got my appointment given to me on the day (6 weeks later). I’ve seen some people wait months and months but for me i think that was pretty quick. There were three options though urgent, soon or routine. I was put down as ‘soon’ so maybe people put down as routine have a longer wait. Hope you don’t have too long to wait. X

I did mine as soon as i had the time to do it. After 3 mos since thats all the avail time i had. And it took me an hour and half to two hrs to finish . I just had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy 2 days ago and was my first time .

I got my two appointments in the same letter. Originally I was meant to have my pre-op one week before, but then they changed both dates and I ended up having my pre-op 5 days before my lap.

I had my pre-op on Oct 9th and am still waiting to hear when the lap will be despite being on the urgent/very soon list and being told it would be before Xmas!

Every day I get depressed a bit more because of the wait and pain. Also am starting a new job in January and I need to be sorted and up and running by then so I should have it very soon as I already know mine won’t be a 2-hour op and it will take me weeks to recover!!

I had mine the day I found out about the lap because it was in another city and they saw no point in me coming back, so found out at the end of October, pre op the same day and a lap at the end of November bc they told me they wanted it done within 4 weeks (they offered it to me a week later but I had to decline because of work!)
