Waiting time after pre-op

Hi, I had my pre-op appointment two weeks ago and have not yet had my op letter through. Just wondered if anyone can let me know how long they had to wait, between pre - op and op? Thanks x

pre op covers you for up to six months.

It might depend on where you are and local waiting periods. I have my pre-op on Wednesday and my doctor advised my lap would be within 3 weeks from my pre-op. Might be worth phoning for confirmation of your local hospitals waiting times. When I was referred by the gynaecologist i received documents stating that I would be seen within 12 weeks. Hope you get on ok!

Hi! I had my gynae appointment in December (in Plymouth) 2 weeks later had my pre-op and finally got my lap 1 week ago.

Hi,I was told up to 18 weeks after that you would need another depends on waiting times at your chosen hospital

Thank you for all your messages, called the waiting line today and they said the pre op lasts for three months and no date has yet been selected for me! feeling gutted but I don't know why.. I've been fighting this for 17 years so another few month isn't going to make a difference now 😞
