Recovery after laparoscopic removal of ovarian cyst and transcervical removal of uterine fibroids?

Hi lovely ladies,

I'm getting my first op on Wednesday, the above. My doctor reckons my endo is fairly mild, but of course, nobody knows what they'll find until they really go look. My doc says NO exercise for 6 weeks - which might just send me round the bend. How was the recovery for those of you who've had similar operations? I can't really figure out what to expect. My parents are coming to help with the kids (and really just to hang out with us all), for the first week.

You will be far more exhausted than you expect going in, but every one recovers at different rates, some people are more affected by the anaesthesia etc than others. Do follow the advice about exercise or you can risk doing damage. A friend of mine put herself back in hospital doing exercises too soon.

I had cyst removal and diagnostic lap and needed 5 weeks to rtw but that's longer than usual.
