hi all just looking for some support - had a lap yesterday and ended up staying in hospital overnight to control pain and partially collapsed lungs. They have told me that I'm so fused together with endo on bowels/womb etc that they couldn't get it all and may need to face major surgery to remove in a few months time. I'm so upset, and worried. has anyone gone through the same?

laparoscopy fail
Lots and lots of gentle hugs. It sounds like you are having a really rough ride of it XX
I've not had a frozen pelvis but my bowel was distorted and attached to my cervix and vagina and I'm recovering from that op. I avoided a resection by the skin of my teeth and the op has helped my bowel and bladder symptoms.
Hang in there sweetie there will be better days to come xxxx
is that what its called - a frozen pelvis? Thank you, hoping I can avoid resection too, I have had terrible bowel pain so this must be the reason I guess. Just feel so dire when I thought this lap was going to be the end of it.. xxx
When everything is glued I think so. It's so hard isn't it MRIs aren't all that accurate.
My surgery doubled in length to 4 hours as the scan hadn't shown how deep it had penetrated. I went in worried for my bowel and came out with 4cm less vagina as it was so damaged they removed a piece and had to do a repair.
Do ask for the op notes to be sent to you to get more info on what was found and done and not done XXX
Whatever, we are all here for you.
I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. Hang in there! Big hugs.
Just make sure the surgeon is a BSGE qualified. If not asked to be refer to one. You don’t want them to have a go at your expense. The link on NICE guidelines for referrals is in my previous post.
thank you all so much for the info and support. I'm still in shock having gone into hospital Thursday convinced I'd come round and they'd say they hadn't found anything as i'd been told the mirena that i'd had put in my last lap prevents it. I have to wait 8 weeks now to go back and speak to my surgeon for a 'plan'. I've just started a really full on job at a secondary school too, grateful I can come on here and speak to you all x
