I have been having right lower abdominal pain and it is now lasting 3 weeks. I kept thinking it may perhaps be chronic appendicitis. I went to the Dr . Ultra sound performed and was normal. He said he believes it to be endometriosis. Has anyone had normal tests , yet endo show up on appdndix during laproscropey ?

Hi, I had my first laparoscopy on Friday- all prior ultrasounds had come back normal- and the surgeon found a lot of endo on my appendix, and performed an appendectomy. My pain wasn't localised just to the lower right side but did hurt there a lot, but I didn't have other symptoms that come with appendicitis so never suspected that. Hope that helps you a little.
This does sound similar to my situation, i am having laparoscopy next week, appendicitis has been flagged up but ruled out up to now so wonder what will be found as they found nothing with ct or ultrasound - but pain has been present on and off for a year now.
I also had this! I wouldn't have known it was my appendix if I hadn't had a lap because I was putting the pain down to endo. You could ask for a blood test to look for infection and otherwise keep an eye on it.
I have had lower right abdominal pain close to groin for a year now, CT scan and ultra sound not showing anything but pain is intense like contractions, comes and goes but is quite regular. I am having a laparoscopy next week to see if it is endometriosis but the initial thought as that it was my appendix although the pain is very low down and i have not shown any signs of appendicitis at any point.
