Incision?

Hey ladies,

Hope you are all well?

I had excision surgery 2 weeks ago today. Healing all going well etc. Just one thing that's bugging me. The incision picture that I have attached, they have puckered my skin and then m stitched it. My other 3 incisions are healing nicely and are all flat. This one is so bloody sore. Can't wear anything that touches it because it is just so sore. Should I see my GP? Doesn't seem to be flattening out and worried my skin is gonna stay puckered. Any advice would be very much appreciated! Xx

I have taken the photo from a bird's-eye view so you can see how it's been stitched.

Hi lovely, I'd contact your GP just to be sure. Or even contact the ward that you were on? Hope you get better soon lovely! I'm currently healing from my second lap last week xxx

I'm resting from my second lap lovely! Finally diagnosed so looking at moving forward now! Still unsure of what to use to slow down the growth though :( I just don't want to be loaded with hormones that have horrible side effects. My gynaecologist wants me to have the prostap injections have you had them? Xxx

Very good! How do you feel now you've got a diagnosis? Yeaah I've had prostap, they helped me a hell of alot! My doctor has taken me off them now tho 🙁xx

I had one like this after my second surgery I think and after about 10 days I cut the stitch and took it out and that really helped. It then went flat and you can't see it now.

Hi. I had one like that. Yesterday (day 14 post op) the internal stitch must have dissolved because it's now gone flat. I wouldn't worry. Mine was a bit sore to touch and when clothes rubbed on it but now feels so much better. If you are worried tho, maybe see your GP or a nurse at the surgery.

Thank you for your reply hunni, I might just ring the docs and see if the nurse can take it out, doing my head in now😂 how are you feeling?xx

I must have laid on the stitch last night as its now gone. Just got a red dot. Which is a little sore so guess that's still healing. I'm actually feeling good. I only had a diagnostic lap so my post op recovery has been pretty good. Feel pretty back to normal, still a little tired throughout the day but I think that's just me in general. How are you doing? x

All my symptoms make sense now I got a diagnoses. Just annoying it now delays TTC / IVF as this needs to be addressed first - more waiting for appointments 🙄 x

I lay on my side last night and felt a pinch in my incision and it was the stitch snapping, it's gone flat now😁xxx

Don't panic! I have four like that after 15 days and I am not worrying. Someone here gave me the best advice-the stitches will dissolve when the wound is healed, obviously ours aren't healed yet.

I can't wear clothes other than nighties yet, don't worry you aren't alone x

Thank you for the reply hunni, it's nice to know I'm not alone, of all the ops I've had I've never had some stitched like that before so I was panicking xx
