Skin glue in belly button incision.

Hi everyone! I am new here but have had endo for 6 years, I had my 4th lot of endo surgery on the 25th August this year. This time skin glue was used instead of stitches. I am recovering well and back to work. My belly button is still sore, I have had a 2 week course of antibiotics and the incision site is dry, not red, but it is itching a lot, it feels like there is a lot of dry skin glue in my belly button, but it's too sore to touch. Will the skin glue automatically fall off when it's done its job?

Any ideas welcome :)

Thank you x

Amazing stuff skin glue isnt it? I had a ruptured ovary glued back together & could not get my head round how it was done, they showed me my Lap (graphic) photos & it was incredible - like gross before & after.

They also showed my then b/f of 6mths (now husband) which was tmi to share!

Its good your belly button isnt infected & dry, I always think itching is part of the healing process.

Good luck with it all

I had my lap last Tuesday (9 days ago) and just picked off all the glue last night! Like you I've had some itching in the area. Itching has stopped but can't say for sure if glue was the cause. Incisions look amazing underneath! So clean and tidy. Not saying you should pick the glue off but it was incredibly satisfying...

I had mine last Monday and he used glue. Amazing!! But I daren't go near mine, the one in my belly button especially is making me feel sick!! I'm hoping it just comes off on its own.

I did have a drain site stitched, that has itched way more than the glue!!

Thank you!! Mine is really sore to touch do I don't think I will be picking off the glue... Surgery was 3 weeks ago, so maybe I need a trip to the Drs.. It's started weeping again now!! So annoying as I can't wear normal trousers xx

Bless you I know that feeling!

I (stupidly) drove to the airport too soon afterwards with my trousers totally open, all hanging out, but I could bear no fabric near them.

I would return to Drs if its weeping, just to be safe.

I am exactly the same!! Hoping it's just swelling that's going to go down... I am going to work in yoga pants at the moment as my work clothes are too tight!! I'll call and make an appointment in the morning X
