Why are you needing surgery? Is it troublesome or large?

Repeat surgeries aren't uncommon with Endo but do increase the probability of adhesion formation.

You don't have to consent to surgery if you don't want to. Have you raised your concern with the surgeon? Have you asked or been given other options to consider?

I'm talking to him on august 8th and the reason for this surgery because I want to go through ivf and my reproductive doctor told me I have to get the fibroid removed in order for me to go through ivf

Hi. I had my lap last week and got told I have endo adhered to my bowl and left ovary and tube. My discharge notes also say I have a uterine fibroid. We have been TTC for nearly 2 years. We have an appointment with the infertility clinic on the 16th. So wait and see what they say is the next step? Also being referred to an endo clinic.

I guess I would have the surgery to remove the fibroid in order to start the IVF journey. But we are all different, you need to do what's right for you. Talk everything through with your doctor on the 8th and hopefully it will help you come to a decision.

Yes and I will let you know how it all go.. even though my doctor said that's the only way they can get that embryo in me only if I remove the fibroid and my fibroid doctor said if he see other scar tissue he just gone get it and clean it up while they in there :)

It sounds like not doing the surgery and not doing IVF is your other choice but it means your bladder problems will continue.

Yes the fibroid is pushing up on my uterus and having me go back and forth to the restroom like 10 times every night and the doctor to me in order for ivf I must remove the fibroid or it wil be squishing my baby

Then it sounds like a good thing that will bring much relief. Try not to worry. You could ask if they are using any adhesions prevention methods given your past surgeries.
