I've suffered from endo for what seems like forever, I've had 2 laps and about to have a 3rd in a few weeks

I was put on provera just before Christmas and it's been good no periods means no pain which was great but last month I had a period lasting 3 weeks and with it massive pain the gp said likely just a one off as hormones can be like that but now exactly a month later I've started a period really heavy and really painful!

Has anyone had this problem with provera and does anyone take any different progesterones that I could ask the gp to try? I'm on 30mg of provera and the gp says that's the top dose

Feeling very down about it all

Have you considered the Mirena? It delivers a low dose of progesterone just where you need it. Has given me relief for years.

I've heard nothing but horror sorties about the Minerva so I've always been put off

It certainly doesn't suit everyone, but it may be that the horror stories circulate more easily. I think there are plenty of women who get along fine with it - the clinical trials are positive. It's easy to take out if it causes a problem. So perhaps worth having another look into it? Good luck with finding something!
