My understanding is that Cerazette and Cerelle are very similar in their ingredients. But it's worth a try I think to see how you go, especially as you could stop it if it doesn't agree with you xxx

In fact, Cerazette and Cerelle both have 75 microgram desogestrel so if you've not had a good experience of Cerazette I wonder why your doctor thought Cerelle would be any better? xxx

I might be wrong but I would imagine the side effects and affect on you would be very similar for both pills xxx

There is a chance cerelle could be OK for you. I'm the other way round, cerazette is the only pill I can be on that doesn't send me psycho, the docs put me on cerelle and within a couple of weeks I was back asking for cerazette (they made me wait 3 months until they changed it but they did) back so there is definitely a difference with it somehow!! Persevere but not long enough to let it change your life, there will be something else they can give you, even if you have to insist!

Hi, I have just started cerezette and am feeling anxious about the side effects. How soon after starting it did you notice a change in your moods? I have been on so many different ones over the years and most made me proper bonkers after only about a week! Xx

If I'm being honest it wasn't until my partner mentioned he had seen a change in me that unnoticed which was after a couple of years, then I started to realise that the side effects I had been feeling but dismissing was potentially from the pill. I was grumpy all the time found myself not able to have a laugh, no sex drive what so ever, paranoid about a lot of stuff and became anxious about things which is totally not me x within a few weeks of stopping it I was back to my old self x try not stress about them u might not be affected or u maybe only experience 1 or 2 side effects x

Cerelle and cerazette are EXACTLY the same drug they are just different brand names. I work in pharmacy and I would definitely question why the doctor has given you something you clearly don't tolerate. It is the best kind of pill they recommend for this but there would be plenty of others with different ingredients you would be able to try xx

I'll give it a go and see how it goes think i will just need to perservere as I suppose the side effects are better than the pain every month, im hoping I'm ok, I was on topiromate for migraines and I could only have tablet form, the capsual for some reason was ineffective which no one seemed to get why lol x all different i suppose x

I understand they're the same drug but if they were exactly the same why not just have one and why did I get bad symptoms on cerelle but not cerazette?! My mother and sister were the same also. I think it would be fair to say that everyone's bodies are different and react with different things in different ways and unfortunately for us it's a bit of a trial and error process.
