Hi everyone, I'm just experiencing my first period a few weeks after laparoscopy. I am flooding a lot. I can't seem to keep in top of all the blood. Anyone had this experience and class it as normal?

I had the same experience after an op to remove 2 8x9cm cysts in each ovary (stage 4). My first period was extremely heavy and I had a couple of 'accidents' but my periods since then have been much lighter and pain free :) I read in a lot of places that the first period is the worst. Hang on in there, it will get better!

I had my first period last week after having a lap in early January and it was the heaviest I'd ever experienced and the worst side effects. I'm on decapeptyl with a few weeks and hoping I won't have to go through that again for a few months. I found a hot water bottle was great for the cramps. Take care and take it easy.
