Pain after laparotomy

Hi ladies, I am 10 days post op. Had my left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to endometrioma. At the moment I have quite a bit of pain in my right ovary. Can feel it is swollen when touching it. I started my period yesterday. Is this normal or should I contact my Doctor? Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi it is usual after a lap for your next 2 or 3 cycles (both period and ovulation) to be painful whilst healing takes place. If pain becomes unmanageable or accompanied with fever, discharge, and/or heat around incisions, contact your gp x

Hi, I had laparotomy in september, and am suffering the same pain as before having the endo removed. I was really concerned that endo had returned, but am not sure it could so quickly, so am hoping that it is just afterpains from the op. Visited GP, who was useless and suggested me going onto birth control pill. Hope your pain eases. X
