It's been a week since I had my laparoscomy and had endo removed (excision) from bladder, bowel and pelvic wall. My whole body aches terribly to the point where I can't get comfy including backache. Is this normal? The insicions look like the healing well.

Although the incisions are tiny, you've had major surgery. They don't reflect the work that's been done inside. Make sure you're taking enough decent painkillers and be kind to yourself - although everyone thinks endo surgeries are something and nothing because they're keyhole, that's really not the case.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs xxx that sounds like quite a lot of excision work. Be gentle with yourself.

I only had minor ablation and I felt sooo much worse than I anticipated. No way did I feel okay after a week! Like others have said, keyhole surgery seems like its minor but they've done major stuff inside you! Take time to rest! Xxx

Hi I'm 2 weeks post op today had endo removed from both ovaries and bladder and ruptured chocolate cyst removed from overy and I suffered back ache too, still a little now lower back if I do to much. I'm still quite swollen and bloated but it's going down more and I'm going out for walks each day and doing house work. Had stitches out yesterday as they won't dissolving but incisions are healing nicely.

I'm mainly struggling due to coming off prostap injection and HRT it's like all side effects have come back with vengeance so it's making me feel worse, like everything with this condition it just takes time! Xx

I've started to move around a little bit more around the house and it has helped with the back ache. I think it's just one little step at a time for us all and to take things steady. My bruising has come out now around excision and the pain is starting to ease off slowly.

Its nice to hear that many people are in the same situation as some medical professionals seem to think 'oh its hole you should be fine after a few days'. As people of said its inside what feels it to and nit only that its mentally/emotionally aswel.Take care everyone.

Keep up with regular dose of pain killer. Do a bit of gentle walk for a few times a day. I had back pain after operation too. I think they put patients in all sort of positions to gain access so back pain is not a surprise.

It will take a few weeks to feel back to 50% normal.

Take care.
