Tranexamic acid/Lysteda is not a pain reliever- it helps heavy bleeding by preventing your body from breaking down blood clots. Unfortunately it didn't really help me with that either! I have found that of all the pain meds, Tramadol 50mg (which isn't exactly an opiate but uses the same receptors) works best for endo cramps. But everyone is different!

I can't take tramadol makes me sick , I'm taking ibuprofen 400mg but it's not helping I only saw the doc yesterday I need stronger painkillers

I hear ya! It often makes me nauseous too, as does Percocet, so I take something to combat that too. Argh! And I am sadly allergic to Ibuprofen. Hoping your doc will listen and get you something that helps!

Absolutely, tell them it can happen at any age! I have endo in the family too, and had over 6 years of doctors telling me I couldn't have it. Just had my 2nd surgery and hope this is finally it! One of the top docs in the USA- Dr Sinervo at the Center for Endometriosis Care. Hoping it's all up from here. Excision surgery it truly the only real treatment but you MUST to to a highly skilled surgeon. A lot of obgyns tell you they do excision but they really don't. So very tricky.

My other problem is slot of people don't under stand they just think it's period pain and I should just get on with it... all my pain is in my back and some days I can just about walk

I've been taking mefenamic acid with tranexamic acid when I'm on my period, mefenamic acid is an NSAID like ibuprofen, but I found it to be much more effective than ibuprofen. I try to start taking it a day or so before my period starts (a tricky thing for a lot of us to predict I know), and when I do that it helps.

I've just had a lap and officially been diagnosed after years of problems and doctors not taking me seriously. I had to really push to get to this point, and I've been told multiple times I'm unlikely to have anything wrong because I'm too young! It's easy to feel like the whole world doesn't understand and believe you, it can even make you doubt yourself, but stay strong and keep pushing for further investigation and treatment.xxxxx
