Hi ladies I was just wondering what to expect after my laproscopy in terms of weight changes, do you tend to loose weight or gain weight after laproscopy?

Hi.

I had my Laparoscopy at the end of March. After the surgery for the first three weeks I was off work and then went back. Because I worked in a nursery my gp gave me three weeks to recover rather than two. I had a bigger appetite post surgery but for the first weeks it was hit and miss what I wanted to bother eating because my throat was scratchy and sore and it's a struggle to move. Basically I ate a lot of soup and toast! So when I went back to work after three weeks I was still fragile but I needed the money so went back in to work anyway. And a few people commented on how I was looking skinny. So yes you do lose weight straight after but then it will regulate so don't worry! My weight regulated once my throat was no longer sore.

Hope this helps xx
