Laproscopy query

Hi girls, does any one know if you can still have a laproscopy when you are on your period? I'm very irregular so it would be just my luck to come on. Has this happened to any one else before? Thanks xx

Hi hun

Yes they will still do your laparoscopy and it won't make any difference.

After the laparoscopy you will have some bleeding anyway. Itso probably worth telling them that you are having a period as they will monitor how much blood you are passing and it will probably look more as you are on your period.

Wishing you luck for your laparoscopy and hope you have a quick recovery.xx

I haven't actually had it yet hun. I have my pre-assement on Thursday then my op is on Monday 4th of January xx

I had mine while I was on my period ( towards the end ) and there was no problem at all with that X

Hi, I was told by the surgeon to avoid this time, but my period came:-( and they still did it. This was two weeks ago and I'm totally fine now. How did it go?

As I suspected I started bleeding yesterday. It's very unusual though because it's so light and no pain at all. Also it was bang on 4 weeks since my last one which is very rare for me as I'm usually all over the place. Hoping it will stay light and pain free as I could imagine having to suffer from the usual pain when I'm on and cope with an op! Fingers crossed for Monday x
