Mirena coil and periods....

Hi,

I'm just after some advice please, I've had the mirena coil fitted for almost a year now and still I am bleeding every other week and with the bleeding I'm having the obvious endo symptoms. Has anyone else had anything like this, any problems with the coil? I'm getting pretty fed up now as my doctor said it would all calm down but I literally can't cope as I also have fibromyalgia so the two pains together are just excruciating!

Any help or advice would be gratefully received thank you!

Xxx

Hello Daydreamer from Nurse Gladys Emanuel (open all hours) have you had the Mirena checked that it is in place? they can slip out!! was you advised on any pain relief you can take whilst the mirena "settles"? I,m glad I didn,t have this awful disease when I was younger, with fibro to put up with its a double whammy! What do you take, if anything for your fibro?

Come back to us maybe we can point you in a direction of help.

Hello Nurse Gladys,

I have had it checked yes and yes also advised on pain relief too. I take Pregablin, Shortec, Oramorph, Duloxectine and top up on Zapain where needed. You would think I wouldn't feel the pain with all above but I do and it's hurrendous.

Thank you for your reply xxx
