failed my first cycle with only one poor quality egg, heart broken😰consultant told me to have FSh and amh to tested, they will let me try again only if my level are good enough. my last FSH in 2013 was 8.3, AMH in 2014 was 11.3, which I been told they were fine for my age at that time. I had two surgeries to remove large endo and then been on pills to stop endo back, does anybody know will my these hormones levels a lot of worse over the time with my condition, is anything I can do to improve it , I really really don't want to lose my only last chance, help please😢😢😢😢😥

I am thing to start taking royal jelly q10, and really attempt to get DHEA, but not sure as I am bad endo, has any one take DHEA with endometriosis, will it make endo return or worse, does really helped the egg quality or FSH amh level. thanks a lot. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, sorry about your response to treatment. It is heartbreaking ,I know. I had a normal FSH ( last one 5.3) but my amh tells the true story. I had my left ovary removed due to endo and the right one doesn't respond. I tried dhea and it made my endo pain a lot worse, and didn't improve my results at all. Cycle one no dhea 2 eggs 1 embryo pregnant but miscarried. Started dhea . cycle 2 cancelled ovarian cysts. Cycle 3 1 egg no fertilisation. Cycle 4 ovulated before egg collection. Stopped dhea. Cycle 5 2 eggs 1 embryo. So for me it didn't help and seemed to cause other problems.

However, I am now blessed with 3 children thanks to 2 wonderful egg donors. So don't give up. It may just be that your family is waiting for you to take a different route.

Good luck,

Ps the surgery itself can damage your ovarian deserve, as has already been said. It may be worth getting your bloods retested. X

hello mierran, thank you so so much for your reply and a lot of information, I am so happy that you are absolutely a blessed mum of your 3 kids now, I can't imagine what are strong lady you are, you are amazing. I was diagnosed endometriosis 10 years ago from a routine check when I didn't have any symptoms, light period pain occasionally, marriage at that time was nightmare, I didn't want kids in that relationship,so didn't do anything to my endometriosis. until two years ago the doctor told me that it was 11 cm, occasional period pain only , the doctor said you must be very brave haha! so had surgery, and they then did nothing, this probably why it came back 12cm last October so another surgery .  when I was full of hope but then more bad news came ---no respond. I just thought if they look after me properly then I won't need second surgery and that will less damage.

anyway I only got this last little hope now, I will go take some acupuncture before the blood test and order Royal jelly vitamins and q10, done my excersize daily timetable, can't think anything else I can do.

sometimes I really think why I deserve all this, I can't afford to do so many cycle like you did, and I am really unsure about donor egg, can I ask how can you find a doner and how do you match. .? I am really sad when I think I probably will be a very longly old woman live on my own and even no one come to visit me in about 30 years time😰😰😰😰😰

Hi, I had cycles over several years and I gave up a lot to pay for them. Old banger, second hand clothes, holidays staying with family, asking for money towards cycle for presents, working as much as possible etc. First 3 were NHS ( only counted as 2 as one cancelled before egg collection ) then one privately in UK. I then went abroad and did a tandem cycle getting donor egg backup.

Re the donors I picked the clinics , both abroad. I sent pictures of myself and actually went out to the second clinic with the family for my partner to do his thing. His sperm were frozen and the donor stimmed after I had lap no 4 for my endo ( also had a lararotomy ) and the embryos frozen. It was 5000e for the donor egg cycle including freezing embryos and storage for 5 years. We still have 2 icebabies left so who knows, I may get a number 4. It costs 1300e for a frozen embryo cycle plus drugs, which are v cheap for a few cycle. I found treatment abroad better than UK, and about half the price.

I think that I have the children I was meant to have. Yes, I am sometimes sad that I won't see my Grandma's nose in my kids but would I swap them ? No. I love them just as they are.

I think at the end of the day you have to decide how important having children is to you. For me, I had to feel I had tried everything I could, including donor eggs ( tho my partner was initially very anti it ) .

I also did acupuncture, which I felt helped with my endo pain and implantation, tho it didn't improve my crop of eggs .

Good luck for the future. X x
