Hi. My pre-op enema for diagnostic lap was excruciating just where it hit behind my coccyx.
My colon is fine (had a colonoscopy) and have been diagnosed with Adenomyosis of the uterus and fibromialgia as well as APS.
Does anyone know why this should be? It was so bad it made me cry out and want to throw up.
So sorry to Hear that I had adenomyosis it's so painful and the uterus is heavy it may be pressing on the coccyx I remember before I won't even be able to sit without pain I had a TAH and now I am free adenomyosis is such a nuisance for me so start thinking of things that ca reduce the weight of the uterus and please take things easy
Thanks beauty! I also reckon it's the uterus but was told it's not really enlarged. However, MRI shows its retroverted and pressing on colon! I think hysterectomy is on the cards but am soon scared! Pain on sitting is bearable but sometimes I think I've just got used to it!
Oh don't be scared the only pain is the first couple of days and please discuss about pain management after the op with the anaesthesist , I will say it's the best discussion I have ever made I feel great now , stick to the forum and keep asking questions and read a lot about the condition too , it will be helpful if you can pray with someone to agree that all goes well
