The last 3 days I’ve had a really sharp pain in my right side , it’s quite low down rather than my actual stomach if you like and it has been coming and going - although today that pain has been there pretty constantly .
I checked my period checker and I am meant to be ovulating anytime so wondering if it’s that ?
Just wondering if anyone has any advice or similar experience ?
It’s not agony pain just quite uncomfortable ! I have had ovulation pain before but usually goes with over the counter medication and not for as long !
Thankyou
Lucy xx

Apparantly not , although the doctor is now backtracking saying ‘well it may be there but just not enough for us to see’ and am seeing 4 consultants as well x
Hey why don’t you visit the FB page of Nancy Nook endometriosis education. The general obyg gynecologist don’t know where to remove from and there are only a handful of experienced endometriosis excision specialist in the world for over a million women suffering from Endo!!
I plan on visiting one since I have started to have pain in my kidneys.
Hi Lucy, sorry for your pain. If it carries on and is painful to touch, please go to A&E to rule out appendicitis.
I had this sort of pain last year and had to go to hospital. It wasnt appendicitis but it was severe endo. I hope you feel better.
Also Ibuprofen is a culprit in destroying stomach lining (i had gastritis and now so many other stomach and digestive issues because I used it so much during my periods), so I would advise that you be careful with using it.
Ovulation pain even when bad shouldn't last more than 48hrs. Its worth checking out if its appendicitis. I was admitted with suspected appendicitis last summer which after a clear CT scan was blamed on a cyst rupture but actually it was a bad endometriosis attack. I had excision surgery 5 months later. But if it gets worse or you vomit definitely attend a&e!
Thankyou everyone for your replies , I’ve had people in my family have appendicitis and it’s been much worse than the pain I’m experiencing so I’m not really sure what it is x
Hi Lucy, Way back in 2003 I had pain like that which slowly got worse. I first noticed it when going from a sit to a stand. Then when my bladder was full and having to pass water. Then it was all the time.
When I had my operation in 2005 they said that my endometriosis was really bad on my right side (well actually it was really bad all over but there was a lot going on that side!) and it was pulling my Fallopian tube down on to my bladder.
All has been great after having the endometriosis removed.
I hope with all your many specialist appointments you get to the bottom of it and you are pain free soon.
