Have any of lovely ladies with Endo been diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency? I did find a couple of things on the net to suggest there could be a link, and a lot to suggest that Vit D deficiency is linked to auto immune diseases. If any of you have, can you also tell me if supplements helped?

Vitamin D Deficiency
I was diagnosed with vitamin d deficiency about 4 years prior to finding out I have endometriosis. I had no idea it was linked. I never ended up taking any supplements though.
I am severely deficient. I started taking supplements, but haven't been on them long enough to notice anything. I also think I have an immune issue as not only do i have endo, I have a whole bunch of allergies both food and environmental.
Hi have vit d defincency my is very severe as been for years u take the tablets my doctor gives me it goes up for while then falls back down mines at 9 at moment suppose to be above 75 the thing is my tablets make me really sick and make all my bones hurts x
I found out that I had a vit D deficiency at around the same time I found out i had an ovarian cyst (later to be diagnosed as Endo). Never thought they were related as here in the UK almost everyone has this deficiency. The vit D supplements i was prescribed have brought my level up, though. It's probably a good idea to take supplements.
I have just been diagnosed with Vit D deficiency, and I have read about the numerous ways in with this can affect you, not just the endo but also poor sleep, fatigue, poor concentration... Because it is a hormone that our body uses to regulate many functions. The only natural way to get Vit D is sun exposure... And even though I have never taken suplements, the truth is that my endo symptoms and my poor sleep are really bad here in the UK, where I have lived for two periods of my life... But I was mostly ok when living in Spain or in Australia. So now I have started the supplements and I hope it does the trick!
I have just been diagnosed this week with a vitamin D deficiency, I had full bloods done a few weeks ago but heard nothing back from my gp so as you do i contacted them and long be hold there was two prescriptions waiting for me one for the vitamin d tablets and the other antibiotics because of BV... I wonder when they would of got in touch with me, i know they are busy but the results only normally take up to a week!!
When I went to collect my prescriptions i asked if an appointment was needed with a gp to discuss the results they just said no take the tablets, which is fair enough but id of liked a bit more info on the vit d deficiency but as usual we have to refer to looking ourselves. The prescription they have prescribed is for me to take 5 tablets daily which I am led to believe is a severe deficiency, I am to take these for ten weeks then go back for another blood test.
I'm beginning to think that all this tiredness and aching isn't just to do with my endo but is the lacking in vitamin D!
Sorry for the rant ladies.
xx
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, 5 years ago. I was recently diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency and iron deficiency and I have had endometriosis since I was 19.
Since taking vitamin supplements I am back to living like a normal human being. All my aches, pains, fatigue, gone!
I am now off the opinion that Fibromyalgia was a misnomer for me and that all of my symptoms were due to endometriosis. I have since found out that lack of vitamin D makes endometriosis worse and so I am hoping that it will treat the endo too.
It took 3 months of daily doses of prescribed iron tablets and mega strength vitamin D supplements for me to notice the difference. Hope you guys felt better eventually.
