Evening all hope your all ok.

So it's finally my lap date tomorrow and iam so nervous. I feel sick with worry. I've never had any kind of surgery before and I think that iam more worried about being put under general. Don't really know why iam writing this as I haven't got any advice to give or questions to be asked .

Sorry

X

I know exactly how you're feeling, but it really is nothing to worry about! Think of the recovery time as an excuse to pamper yourself, LOOK AFTER YOURSELF! easier said than done but try not to worry too much. Have you got anyone with you tonight? Xxx

I have the exact same fears( I'm waiting to hear back about my lap date) . Never had surgery before but my gyno has re-assured me it will be fine. It's normal to be worried and anxious. Just think positive and as long as you have someone there with you to help.

Hope all goes well and speedy recovery x

It's natural to worry about the unknown. I was nervous before my first laparoscopy. If it's any help, I've had 14 laparoscopies and lived to tell the tale. ☺

You'll be fine. Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery.

Bless you. It's always scary. Just remember that it's entirely routine and surgeons do dozens of laps a week for all sorts of things.

Please make sure you take something warm like a dressing gown. They'll make you sit in a waiting room before your op and it can get quite cold.

I stayed overnight a couple of times and I took my boyfriends iPad so I could watch Netflix. It can be quite uncomfortable and you're all bloated from the surgery, so I'd watch TV to keep me still if I couldn't sleep.

Good luck! Let us all know how it goes.

Xx

Hi

I had lap on Tuesday, and for two weeks before I was having panic attacks even on the day of the lap I had a really bad one before going in, but once I was in the pre op room the nurses made me feel so good and I wasn't so nervous, I was scared if the general anaesthetic but I can't remember anything after the pre med! Good luck u will be fine. Xx
