I was running my pill back to back continuously for two and a half years in between operations, with no break whatsoever. It meant for a good period of time I had no pain whatsoever. However in my case it my endo flared up again, and I began to have break through bleeding. My recent lap showed i had extensive endo again, so I'm not sure that being on the pill suppressed it from growing. It did however give me that period of being pain free for two years which was a positive. My gynae told me it's completely fine to run it continuously. I think the break is more psychological rather than a necessity. Hope you find a solution that works well for you x

I have the same opinion, even though sometimes doctors' suggestions differ. Some say take a break twice a year, others says do not have a break at all.

Hi there, I have started running 3 packs through and have been advised I can go to 4. I am currently struggling to get a full 3 without break through bleeding, swollen tummy and my body 'feeling' like I need a period (not sure if that makes sense to anyone but me!) I did only start this in Oct so only done a couple of cycles so far. I am hoping it will settle down as I only get my main symptoms whilst bleeding. Hoping once my body gets used to it to run 4 through. The thought of only 3 periods a year is rather appealing !!

Thanks for your replies, i am fine with 3 packs but im 7 days in to my 4th ive had bad pelvic and back pain with a bad tummy and breakthrough bleeding every day, im also exausted when this doesnt happen for the first 3 so im going to stick to 3 packs as my body seems to cope with that better!

I don't think you have a break on cerazette? I would check with GP or pharmacist!

Im on microgynon i take 3 packs in a row and then have a 7 day break, ive been doing that for about 3 years so i can see why my body is used to it

While this stops the pain and symptoms does it also stop the endo from growing?

Oh noo that means I've screwed up another 3 months then? I thought she said take them back to back but wasn't sure. Oh well I'll do back to back from until my appointment in June. Do any of u taking cerezette suffer with dead like pins n needles in tops of ur legs? I used to get it then stopped taking cerezette and it went away now I'm back I'm back on them it started again.
