From combined pill to the mirena coil

Hi guys

So I've been on cilest for quite some time now to try help with my nightmare periods. It's fine until I take a break and end up having a period which makes me feel like the world is ending D:

So now because they think the endometriosis is in the muscle of the womb and possible on the surrounding area they've said they can only manage it with hormone treatment until I have children and then give me a hysterectomy - they said this is the only way to stop it.

So now I've been offered the mirena coil and going to be having it fitted 11th March. I'm anxious because I've no idea how my body is going to react. I don't know if it'll work or if I'll have a nightmare with it. I've had the mini pill and the arm implant previously and have been quite unlucky with them. Also anxious because when I go to have it put in I'll of taken 5 packs of pills with no breaks so not sure if it's going to be a shock to the system.

So long story short, has anyone had any success with the coil?
