Pre op assessment

Hi there

I have just had a letter to have a pre op assessment by telephone .I have had a lap done a month ago with a full clinic pre op done then .Has anyone else had a pre op over the phone before??in what circumstances would they do this?

I had a telephone pre-op and TBH I found the experience dreadful because I still needed to have blood tests and be swabbed for MRSA and have hobo scrub and nasal ointment which I had to go into the hospital to collect! I didn't see the point of having it by telephone for myself!

It maybe different though for yourself as you had one a month ago and might not need to be swabbed but you will need to have bloods which I am sure if you asked they would send the form in the post to you.

Everyones experience is different though and different hospitals have different ways of dooh things so don't just take my word for it!
