My understanding is waiting times differ depending on what NHS trust you come under. The Trust that covers my area has a waiting time of 12 weeks from date of consent to surgery.

Good luck with your surgery x

Thank you so much for your replies I will keep calling admissions but they say there are no beds available!!! I am still waiting for the mri scan it's such a joke as I'm in so much pain, and the endo is very severe I'm worried it's only getting worse x

I was seen by gynae on the 19th December and my op is on the 24th of this month. I rang the gynae admissions though to see if they had sent me an appointment and they hadn't, so she sorted the appointment out for me over the phone. X x

I went to see the Gyno on 3rd November, he said he could of given me an appointment that day but there was no one in the office so gave me a number to ring to book and appt, they never got back to me after I rang so i kept ringing and ringing and they just said no appointment has been made, so I went to my gp who rang them, I had a phone call 3 weeks ago to say they were gonna make me an appointment and call me back in the week, never heard anything... Again! So I rang them Wednesday just gone and said I was told I would have an appointment through but I've heard nothing and she made me one over the phone for this Tuesday so 6 days after calling.

She also said on the phone and to my gp that she didn't know why I have had to wait since November to receive an appointment didn't know why no one had made me one so basically I'm just saying... Keep on at them! Sometimes like me u can be forgotten about and its not nice suffering, but don't be scared to keep reminding them on! Good luck!

I'm feeling blessed that I had my appointment on the 13th Jan and I have my lap on the 18th Feb so just a 5 week wait. This is only possible because I'm not on any estrogen pills (they want you off them for 6 weeks prior to surgery because of the risk of clots and DVT). My appointment isn't with the top excision specialist which probably helps, but she works in the same hospital and does excision so I'm confident I'm in safe hands :)

Wow that's fast! It's been 3 months so far and when I ring admissions all they tell me is there are no beds available! And I'm still waiting for my mri scan too. Good luck with your ops all the best x

3 months waiting list after I saw consultant but I got an early cancellation for my last lap. Worth letting them know you will take one. I only had a few days notice but definitely worth it.

First lap ended up being about 6 months wait as they didn't have anyone to recover me at 1st lap date start dec so cancelled at 4.30 pm as i was on my way to theatre and next date given end feb :-(

it took about 6mths from my first GP appointment to my operation, which i thought was actually very good. My GP was sympathetic (i asked the receptionist for one) and the consultant very good and caring. good luck.

My surgeon said 4-6 months wait. It looks like he is one of the best but it is a long time to wait!!
