Short period

Diagnosed with endometriosis, had lap in April last year, bad pain and heavy bleeding returned , given option of hysterectomy not decided yet but this last period only lasted 2 days so it's making me doubt whether it's endometriosis and worth a hysterectomy. Can endometriosis flare up and then ease off, I had constant pain before so not sure?.

I had lap for endo last May and in the last couple of months the pain has returned. My period is also only two days, or three at the most. Very heavy and cramping day 1 then hardly anything after that. I have recently discovered that I am ovulating as early as day 9 in my cycle though so don't know if that contributes to a shorter period, my reading tells me it can so maybe the same is happening to you. Hysterectomy sounds very drastic and final. Before my lap my pain was constant but would definitely come and go in waves, some days so bad I couldn't get out of bed and some days nothing more than a dull ache.
