whats your experience with the mirena coil ?

I have endo stage 4 and large fibroids. They put me on the progesterone only pill but i basically have bled fro the last 10 months resulting in a massive bleed in july and then put on Norethisterone to stop the bleeding but this is a short term solution . Today I had a urgent Gynea appointment in which the Mirena coil was recommended but im really anxious about having it fitted and what it will do to me ?

I was wondering what other fellow Endo sufferers experience has been with the coil ?!
