Not just MRKH ladies - but those who opt to give up their adenomyosis riddled uterus at an early age, and those like myself, born with severe mullarian deformity not caused by MRKH.

It's long way to go yet - and far too late for me - but for the generations to come it offers a significant opportunity to so many women.

Provided there are enough healthy donors. Endo and Adeno free.

I'd hope that there is significant screening process in place before these donations are made.

It might also allow those with blocked tubes to have a replacement set of tubes and uterus to give them a better chance of naturally conceiving without IVF at some point in the future. The door is opened and how far this leads is anyone's guess.

Certainly it's a major milestone in providing help to infertile women.

MRKH is a heavy burden. As the uterus is missing or not functional, women cannot bear children but ovaries are normal and functional. This gives hope they can use own eggs in ART options. For women who want to escape the taboo on childlessness, and who do not want to adopt, the only solution is to find a surrogate mother who will carry their embryo to term. For most countries surrogacy raises serious ethical dilemmas. That's why women seeking to rent a womb have to head east to Ukraine, Georgia, etc. Ukrainian law is the most surrogacy-friendly in Europe. The law also guarantees the biological mother’s legal rights to the child or children born in the surrogate mother’s womb. No adoption process or court order of any kind is required. The entire process is regulated by a contract signed which is a huge relief.
