Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice about questions to ask at pre-op appointment? I have mine tomorrow and I've been waiting since march for the lap so I don't want to miss anything and I'm pretty scared! Xxx

I just wanted to say good luck with the pre-op tomorrow, and to say that it's a great opportunity to ask all those questions to make you not scared. Things to think about are recovery times, ensuring that you are discharged with adequate pain relief, what to bring on the day (making sure you know about things like contact lenses & piercings etc). Also just anything else (no matter how stupid you might think it is!) to put you at ease on the actual day. I'm pretty sure I asked some biblically stupid questions at my first pre-op, but I felt a whole lot better when it came to the actual operation.
Good luck again!

Hi Bride2be. I wrote all my questions down because I knew once I was there I would forget everything! I asked all questions Kelzibubble13 has suggested and how long will I be in hospital, how long do I need someone at home with me, how long before I can drive, also check your insurance for this, is there a contact number at the hospital to phone if you have any worries or concerns. I got loads of information booklets from my hospital explaining everything and a number to phone if I had any questions I had forgot to ask. Hope it all goes well tomorrow X.
Thanks ladies. I'm getting together a list of questions and I will just make sure I don't leave until I've asked everything! X
