After every night there will be light 💓
Hello everyone out there, sick people and relatives. 👋😊
I wanted to give you all an update on my rehabilitation. 🤕
I have been at home since June 24th after a 16-day stay in hospital following an encephalitis of unknown origin (probably autoimmune encephalitis or HaNDL syndrome) and have not been taking cortisone since July 27th.
The months that followed were very difficult for me mentally🥹. I started smoking again and occasionally drinking alcohol to cope with the trauma. Quite stupid😒, because alcohol and cigarettes are very bad for the nerves! Well, I have to say that my partner❤️ is very strong🤠 and has tolerated my mood swings. They are now getting better thanks to Gabapentin and I have now accepted that I have to take good care of myself💆. I just get irritated very quickly... But thank God I'm able to reflect well enough to talk to my boyfriend about it and say what my worries are and what makes me angry easily. This helps him to understand me and respond to me and it gets better day by day. And the realationship is stronger day by day, beautiful pro 😍🤗
I only do what I can. Not everything at once (because I tend to do that and am generally a sensitive person who doesn't deal well with stress. I know that now.)
Before the encephalitis came, I had a 40-hour job for a year (before that it was always 30 hours) with 12-hour shifts🥵. That's when it actually started with dizziness... I was under a lot of stress. My cat disappeared in May. A lot of stress in my personal life. And no rest. And I think that was the trigger. I have to understand that I will never work 40 hours again. I have to learn stress management and find something for myself that will bring me down (not alcohol 🤭)
I have now discovered a heart for photography. The doctor said I needed a quiet hobby. 📸 🐦✨
My treating doctor is a neurologist and psychiatrist and autoimmune encephalitis is partly her specialty. I'm glad I'm with her. It gives me additional support. ❤️
I am currently on sertraline 50mg/day and gabapentin 200-200-200mg.
Personally, I decided to take nutritional supplements.
Namely
In the morning, immediately after getting up:
Iron and alpha lipoic acid
For breakfast:
My medications, curcumin, certain vitamin B12 spray and Omega 3 DHA & EHA
For lunch:
Vitamin C, zinc and selenium
3 p.m. my medication
For dinner:
Multivitamins
Before bed:
Melatonin spray, magnesium and L theanine and my medications
The next check-up with my doctor will be in December. PETscan examination was rejected and I still have a gynecological examination to really rule out tumors.
My plan is to seek out accompanying psychotherapy and start a holistic, alternative therapy with another doctor with acupuncture and craniosacral... Let's see!
I forget some stuff fast and easily, have to make notes everytime... But ya its no comparison to the beginnig! I had luck with this encephalitis and I am really lucky that I am still free of this horror! 🍀
I'll keep you updated 🤗
All the best to you all ❤️🩹
