I take metformin 850mg three times daily and no other anti-diabetic medicine. I have been taking it for some time without adverse effects and now, mainly because I am on prednisone, want to achieve maximum reduction of my HbA1c.

When should I take the tablets to achieve this please?

I am not on metformin but have you dropped your carbs.

I am on prednisolone for PMR and got my type 2 into remission by cutting carbs drastically

sorry can't help you, I can't take metformin, am allergic to it, yes 100% true with Koalajane, cut down the carbs and you will drive the type 2 down!!
