What effects can jackfruit have on a diabetic

Hi. I have been recently diagnosed as a diabetic .. I would love to know if I can take jackfruit as it's my favorite fruit... Will it harm me or is it OK.?

Have you asked your Endocrinologist about this? What did he/she say?

When is your next appointment? See if he/she wants you to use the fruit. Some Diabetics have bad reactions to certain foods. Is Jackfruit like goji berries? If it is, then that will lower a diabetic's blood sugar very low and cause hypos. Are you type 1 or type 2? Type 1 diabetics use insulin and if you mix certain foods that can lower the blood sugars, then you may go very low very fast. If you're type 2, it may help with blood sugar control, but please ask your doctor, first.
