New CGM System Started Today (10-8-23)

Today, I have started using the updated G7 system since the G6 was no longer being used by those who don’t have insulin pumps.

Unfortunately, the last G6 sensor I had been using failed this morning after 10 days. It was supposed to be removed today in the early afternoon hours.

The G7 is doing good so far, but I still need some time to get use to everything it needs to do for me and the system, in general.

I will let you all know what happens soon. Watch this page for more updates in the next few weeks.

What is the biggest difference between the g6 and g7? Curious as I'm on the waiting list to get upgraded....

The receiver is smaller and so is the sensor with transmitter. The transmitter is attached with the sensor already and the person wears the sensor with transmitter on the upper part of the arms. Short warm up for the sensor to start working instead of 2 hours— it’s close to 30 minutes.

Cool...sounds like similar but more efficient 🥳

in some ways— yes. It’s good so far. You can have 10 followers to be invited to see your blood sugars, but it might depend on what phone the people you invite use.

Is it accurate? is it worth buying, I still use a glucometer because it's much cheaper and doesn't differ much from the lab results

I test before bedtime and a snack each night. So far, no need to calibrate.
