Hi everyone. This is an update on the sensor that was from the 23rd. Unfortunately, the sensor didn’t work that good as the last few had done.
For the last few days/nights, there were no readings and sensor error messages/alarms going off a lot of different times today. There were also a few last night before 10:30-11 pm. This was not helpful for me when I wanted to go to sleep.
Thismorning, I had to have a snack before breakfast today. My number was 100 mg/dl at 6:20 am. I had breakfast at 7 am. When I did my blood test, the receiver said I was 82-> at the time.
I called for a free replacement sensor tonight and it hopefully will be here between 3-5 days from now. We’ll see what happens when the time comes.

Last night at 6:45 pm, I plugged in the receiver while during the warm up period. By the time I was having my bedtime snack, it was done charging. At 4:30 am today, my receiver was alarming that I had to charge the battery now. The battery is supposed to be okay for 2-3 days. I will have to see what I can find out from the Tech Support and ask for them to send me a free replacement receiver.
Is it worth getting a sensor? I've not that long been diagnosed with T2 diabetes, my husband found a sensor, but when I looked into that brand it seemed more touble. I"ve recently come across Dexcom and wondered if that would be better. I swim and spa 3 times a week and also concerned about the adhesive in case it causes me a reaction.
Some people have reactions to the adhesive backing, but they use the overlay patches to keep the sensor and transmitter on during warm temperature days.
I've used the CGM for 6 years and even with some issues dealing with some sensors, it has keep me from having extreme lows while sleeping at night. I always have the low alert set to go off at 80 mg/dl so I can do testing and maybe have a snack without needing any assistance since I can drop very quickly and not feel the lows happening.
I had a partial knee replacement November 2019 and they hadn't listened to me about plaster glue allergy! Put on a big long dressing that had adhesive, 6 weeks later a nasty allergic reaction that took 2 months to go
Can you ask your doctor if there's a way to block the adhesive backing and still have everything be attached so it won't come off from the area you attach it?
