Flu Shot & DEXCOM September 2020

This morning, I had gone to my doctor’s office for a flu shot. So far, no problems except for a little soreness and feeling stiff near the area where the shot has been done. This is a lot better than last year’s shot because the numbers aren’t going too high on my receiver. Please see below for the link about the issue with last year’s shot. healthunlocked.com/drwfdiab...

I think it’s very wise having a flu shot now and am glad that you’ve minimal inflammation. It’s beats what happened last year. 🌈👍😀

Absolutely what I was thinking! I can handle some stiff/soreness, but I don’t want any issues with the sensor from any shots/vaccines that I will have to get in the future.😀👍🌈

Lessons learned from last year is helpful experience and you carry that forward with known precautions. It also puts you in a position to be able to advise other users in getting them through this procedure and prevent anxiety.

Thank you for saying that. I’m not sure what they changed from last year to this year, but I will keep my eye out for any issues.😀👍🌈

Thank you Leah for this information, very interesting. One does not realise the situation that others are in, such as yourself, having to watch your readings after a flu shot.

When l think about it, yes it does make sense that you would have to be very careful even after a flu shot.

How is your arm feeling today?

Have a lovely day, Tim.

Thank you, Tim. Things are going okay, but a dull ache in the arm. No other issues so far.😀👍🌈

Yea, everyone needs to be careful with the numbers and how they go after the shot. Some may want to test before and after the shot is given to compare the numbers and see how the sensor is doing.😀👍🌈

Hello Leah

Yes, checking before and after the flu shot probably is a very good idea.

I hope that your arm soon recovers and the dull ache disappears shortly.

Have a lovely lunch and afternoon, best wishes, Tim.
