Wow! What an interesting (and somewhat stressful) week. Some of the stress was related to the DEXCOM because the sensor that was removed had been acting up for a few days. This acting up was starting on Wednesday and continued on and off through Friday.

¡Wow!

At one point, the old sensor wasn't reporting any data and I had told the Represenative from DEXCOM when I was on the phone, "I have a feeling that this one won't last until 7:20 pm since it had been acting up repeatedly for the last few days". Wow, with some good luck, the sensor had lasted! It just kept going in and out.

A few times during the week, the alarm had gone off inappropriately. The system thought I had gone under 80 mg/dl when I was in the low 240s. Try waking up every 2 hours for false alarms and then a normal wake up time. It was tiring when I had to be at the Senior Center!

When it was 7:20 pm, the sensor had stopped as it was suppose to since it was time for the old one to be removed and the newest one to be inserted. It didn't take long to do all of the removing and inserting, but time seemed to go very fast. So far, the new sensor has been working pretty well from last night and most of today.
