A whole lot to deal with.

Extremely healthy until March of 2012 when I picked up a rare strain of the Norovirus that partially destroyed my endocrine/adrenal system. 2015 - serious complications. June - turned 65. July - Type2 DM diagnosed. Treatment with Metformin started immediately. The following week Insulin added, very, very hard to do, I have trypanophobia. August - very bad cold and Gastro. Endoscopy suggests Celiac disease - no treatment, no confirmation. Sept. - stage 4 Tonsillar cancer metastasized to a neck lymph. Insulin removed by Naturopathic team as a totally holistic (no chemo, no radiation, no surgery) complimentary and alternative treatment for the cancer was put in place in Jan. 2016: high doses of IV Vit.C for 21 weeks, high doses of Metformin, Melatonin, Green Tea extract, Cortisol Manager, Coriolis Mushroom extract, LDN, ALA, DCA, Benfotiamine. DCA causing neuropathic respose -removed; 6 weeks later benfotiamin as well. Diabetes under control until end of February 2017 when spiking started. All carbs, and sugars removed from diet in an effort to control spiking, ramp up of daily exercise, no real changes. Celiac is now raging and causing Ataxia and dermatitis herpetformis - all gluten removed. Endo wants to put insuln in place again - i have refused, even checking my blood is extremely difficult - i have gone several months without checking it.

Jardiance, PGX, Glucoplex now added to medical protocol to bring diabetes under control. Sugar readings coming down slowly - Endo says it will take about 3 months to see any real changes. Cancer mass has disappeared, gone into remission. Celiac is a very real and dangerous disease and presents a constant battle as everything on the market contains or is exposed to some form of gluten.

Long term effects of all other medicines - unknown and quite scary. All practitioners have sugeested that all three conditions are connected and were likely generated by the near fatal virus in 2012.

Anyone have any suggestions?

sounds horrendous

very long shot but coeliacs and metformin put you at high risk of vitamin B12 deficiency - may be worth getting your levels checked - and given the needle phobia - if it is coming out on the low side consider supplementing with high dosed - can be effective.

There have been some very rare cases of ketoacidosis resulting from B12 deficiency but really don't know if that would be related to the problems with blood sugar.

The other thing to look at would possibly be double checking that the diabetes is definitely type 2 and not an autoimmune variant (given all the other auto-immune problems) that would respond better to different course of medication.
