So, this is week 34 of using the DEXCOM. Sorry I hadn't had the chance to sit down and type this sooner, but I was really busy.
De este modo, esto es la semana 34 de usar el DEXCOM. Lamentable no había tenido la posibilidad de sentarme y escribir a máquina esto más pronto, pero estaba realmente ocupado.
During the week, the old sensor was doing pretty good. It just started having some issues before I had to change it, so I did it after dinner Friday night. It was suppose to be changed that night, anyway, but to be on the safe side of things, it was done a few minutes before it was actually time to do so.
Durante la semana, el viejo sensor hacía bastante bien. Sólo comenzó a tener algunas cuestiones antes de que lo tuviera que cambiar, por tanto lo hice después de la comida el viernes por la noche. Era suponen para cambiarse esa noche, de todos modos, pero estar en el lado seguro de cosas, se hizo unos minutos antes de que fuera realmente el tiempo para hacer así.
Last night, I went out with a friend and her mother for dinner. While we were out, I showed them both the DEXCOM and they were impressed on what it can do. The mother couldn't understand why the sensor is under my skin and not inserted in a different place. I explained it's sort of like an insulin pump insertion, but this isn't a pump. It can't deliver insulin. The mother was intersted, but I think she still didn't understand since she asked my mother who was there with us some of the questions, again for a different type of answer. I think the daughter, my friend understood what I had said.
Anoche, salí con un amigo y su madre para la comida. Mientras éramos, mostré a ellos ambos el DEXCOM y se impresionaron en lo que puede hacer. La madre no podía entender por qué el sensor está bajo mi piel y no insertado en un lugar diferente. Expliqué que es la clase del parecido una introducción de la bomba de la insulina, pero esto no es una bomba. No puede entregar la insulina. La madre era intersted, pero creo que todavía no entendía ya que preguntó a mi madre que estaba allí con nosotros algunas preguntas, otra vez para un tipo diferente de respuesta. Pienso la hija, mi amigo entendió lo que había dicho.
After the dinner part of the evening, my friend and I went walking around the Target and did some "window shopping". While in the Target store, I checked the DEXCOM to make sure the numbers weren't getting too low since all I had for dinner was a Chopped Salad with chicken cut up. It was a good salad and kept my numbers stable.
Después de la parte de la comida de la tarde, mi amigo y yo fuimos andando alrededor del Objetivo e hicimos un poco de "compra de la ventana". Mientras en la tienda Objetivo, comprobé el DEXCOM para asegurarme que los números no se hacían demasiado bajos desde todo que tenía para la comida era una Ensalada Cortada con la reducción del pollo. Era una ensalada buena y guardó mis números estables.
