Hi matru13-ashram

Please skip fruits as a first step. Most of the fruits contain loads of carbs. Please substitute fruits with more nuts. You may add good fats into your diet like coconut, peanuts into your breakfast.

Replace millets with emmer or long wheat. Add some good fats like Ghee(can be about 10 percent of your food intake) into your lunch as well.

Skip coffee if you can. If you cannot, use full fat A2 milk. Please be aware that milk contains a lot of carbs.

Are you not feeling hungry after your dinner?

Let me know if you need any more help here.

Cheers

What is you weight, height and waist?

Get a small plate or a dish to start with to eat small portions.

Drink boiled cinnamon water daily, eat soaked fenugreek, eat green leaf veg and no grains for a while. Eat sweet potatoes, chickpeas and other simple food with regular exercise.

good luck.

Hidden ,

I personally don't prefer having cheese, as its a processed food. Paneer would be a better option.

Hi. Please try to stick to a <25 carbs a day diet. Increase your intake of healthy fats. Almost every food item you mention is rich in carbs.

Let us know the result. Wish you good health.

Please clarify what do you mean by retaining more carbohydrates. I have tested with 100g paneer for my dinner multiple times earlier. PPBS was less than 100 mg/dL at all times. How can a chemically processed food(cheese) better than an organic natural food?

On a different note, how frequent you go for CAC test? How much does that cost in a private lab in India?

Thanks for the clarification Hidden . I got it. You get organic cheddar cheese here in India, with almost no processing.

Good to see you Re trying. However you might need different medication apart from metformin to control your blood sugar effectively. Please consult your doctor to review your medication while you maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. All the best!

Hello. Upping my fiber content has helped me. Mosfdiabetics in the US dont eat enough fiber. I also add milled flaxseed as it helps with eye issues
