I m 36 and my fast sugar level is around 165. My pp is between 250 to 300. I've been diabetic for the last 2 years. I don't take insulin but take metformin 500mg twice daily and syzigum jambolum and gymnema Sylvester as homoeopathy but it is still uncontrolled. I don't eat rice and sugary products. Please help me. I am worried.

Hello Santoshwisher1 and welcome to Diabetes India forum.

First and foremost, are you exercising?

Even though diet and what to eat or not to eat is always a debated topic ultimately what you eat and the way your body processes it is impacted by insulin resistance. And the only way to reduce insulin resistance is by exercising.

However there is a test for a connecting peptide or c-peptide for short which allows to test for the presence of insulin. Do you know whether your physician ordered a test for this value and if so what the results were?

Please give full details. Height. Weight. Eating habits. Get basic investigations done. The management of D is

1) diet : forst and foremost important

2) exercise

3) drugs only to control bs while first two start showing effect. Insulin can be avoided if you plan properly.

Yes, you need to worry for very serious mistakes of your own. We really don't know who prescribed you taking allopathic and homeopathic medicines simultaneously and now you are making an outcry of your uncontrolled sugar. Now for remedy, please immediately approach a qualified endocrinologist (I mean an allopathic doctor). Considering your very young age and the fact that your diabetic condition was detected only two years back, allopathic doctor may not find your current health condition so predicament for you. But before approaching the doctor please do the following pathological tests immediately from a reputed medical laboratory -

1. Hba1c, 2.Fasting and PP sugar test, 3. Lipid profile test, 4. Urine ACR Test.

After completing the above tests, immediately rush to a qualified endocrinologist so that he would be able to assess your current diabetic condition and prescribe suitable allopathic medicines for you which may include some very basic allopathic diabetic medicines like, glimepride, metformin ( with a higher dose, of course), voglibose etc, or some medicines like gliptins (to lower down high sugar level) alongwith some vitamin supplements, if necessary. What is really annoying for any logical person as to why you allowed your health condition to be ailing for quite some time at such an young age. However, your condition may not be so serious at all and I think you can manage your health condition improving substantially, if you take the above advice seriously without wasting a minute and for God's sake don't take either ayurbedic or homeopathic medicines for diabetic treatment as it could ruin your ailing condition causing lots of complications. There are enough allopathic drugs (both popular at very lesser costs and moderately costly medicines) available in our country to treat diabetes mellitus. You have already complicated your ailing condition and do not stretch it any further. Sorry to be rude as I am suffering from diabetes mellitus (type 2) for over last eight years and since beginning, I was under advisement of a qualified allopathic doctor for proper control of my sugar with subsequent regular check ups and subsequent interactions with qualified endocrinologists. Please take care and you can eat healthy diet with suitable restrictions at your young age under guidance of a qualified dietician. Lastly for God's sake stop taking naive sort of advices on internet as all of us are not qualified doctors on this platform.

DRS,are focusing just HBA1C. They don't consider fasting and random. So that's why I say just consider HBA1C.
